- You need 1 glass of Rice.
- Prepare 1 bundle of fenugreek leaves.
- Prepare 1 of " ginger chopped.
- Prepare 5-6 cloves of garlic.
- It's 2 of green chillies.
- Prepare 2 of onions sliced.
- Prepare 3 of tomatoes sliced.
- Prepare leaves of Coriander.
- Prepare 1 of carrot chopped.
- It's Handful of corn kernels.
- It's Handful of green peas.
- Prepare 2 of bay leaves.
- Prepare 1 tsp of cumin seeds.
- You need 1 stick of cinnamon.
- It's of Salt as per taste.
- You need 1 tsp of Red chilli powder.
- Prepare 1 tbsp of Coriander powder.
- You need 1 tsp of Garam masala.
- It's 1/2 tsp of Turmeric.
- You need 2 tbsp of oil.
Masaledar Methi Rice instructions
- Wash the rice and keep aside.
- In the mixer add onions, ginger, garlic, green chillies, tomatoes, coriander and fenugreek leaves with some water and grind into smooth paste..
- In a pressure cooker, add oil, put cumin seeds, bay leaves, cinnamon stick let it crackle..
- Add the fenugreek paste and cook for 5-7 mins and add all the veggies and cook further till oil separates from the masala..
- Add all dry masalas like salt, turmeric, red chilli powder, coriander powder, garam masala and cook for 2 mins..
- Add rice, and water 1.5 glass and pressure cook till one whistle. Simmer for another 2-3 mins and off the flame..
- Allow the pressure to release on it's own. Open the lid and mix well..
- Serve with boondi raita..
